I’m watching Jon Hamm’s jawline on Your Friends & Neighbors and something about the voiceover was tripping me out and I couldn’t figure it out.
Then it hit me – he has voiced car commercials. So every time there’s a voiceover, it sounds like a car commercial.
Lainey opened today with Gigi Hadid’s 30th birthday party and I have two observations: first, I hate their outfits. I’m sorry, they look a little sloppy. The corset with the leather pants (which look cheap but most certainly are NOT cheap) is not doing it for me. I can’t pinpoint what’s wrong with Bradley’s look, I just don’t like it. My second observation is that his hair is looking like Tom Cruise’s right now in the Sinners post. They are letting the locks flow.
I don’t like sports but I love sports documentaries because they are so emo and gossipy. The Clubhouse is my new obsession on Netflix. The other thing I like? It’s a chance to get an out-of-the-box crush, like an outfielder with a mullet whose name I didn’t know a week ago and goes by “Big Swole” on Instagram. Lainey can cure me of this in no time!
JoJo Siwa broke up with Kath Ebbs on the way home from the Celebrity Big Brother U.K. wrap party, which led to Kath releasing a 12-minute video about it. JoJo has responded.
I’m not as much interested in the back-and-forth as I am the storyline because “21-year-old goes to Europe and breaks up with their partner after the trip” is a classic coming-of-age story. This is the most I’ve ever related to JoJo Siwa.
Twitter is currently celebrating Girls in short clips, so I spent some time this weekend watching it. This show holds up and is so much more enjoyable when it has some distance from the thinkpieces and Lena Dunham press tornado. I don’t mean Lena Dunham’s writing and acting as she should get full credit for all of that, I mean the very specific media fixation on Lena Dunham.
Keith Urban came up in my feed and it led me to search any news on him and Nicole Kidman because it’s been a minute since they walked a red carpet together. There are a few stories from last week about Keith being “worried” about her work pace and while I don’t necessarily believe that these are well-sourced, I think that they are ripe for rumours because he is on tour and she’s’ working and their schedules aren’t aligned. This is probably not the first time in their marriage this has happened, they both work a lot.
