I love this really cute series! It's full of fun, adventure and two super smart girls who can kick butt and solve awesome mysteries! These are such great books for kids who are not yet teenagers but are looking for something a little more exciting to read!

Norah and Darcy are one the scene again when the new field house at their school goes up in smokes. Norah puts all her effort into the case when Zane, the boy she's been crushing on, is framed as the main suspect. Partners in Crime is also trying to solve a case over fifty years old that turned into an urban legend called the Prom Killer. I love how they had to go into the library and look at the old newspaper clippings on the microfiche. Digging into the past was one of my favorite parts of this book!

Norah and Darcy have a great friendship and are able to work through the bumps they experience. They don't just throw their friendship away when they have a miss-communication but they talk about their differences. They're a great team and I love reading about the mysteries they solve! I give Framed & Dangerous 4 hearts!

I love Partners in Crime's last case!

After the big fight of Norah and Darcy in book second. Darcy decided to dismiss their Detective agency, but suddenly Zane Munro called Norah for a help because someone is accused him for the fire that he didn't set in the school's gym.

Norah and Darcy put aside their quarrel and tried to solve their last case as the "Partners in Crime", does their friendship could be save too in the end?

Love the ending tho!

I like a lot this books I own the first one and the second one I don't care what they say it's a good books for any age well except for young young like 12 not good for 12 but older but I loved it when I get the whole copies

This is the third book in the Sleuth or Dare series. I enjoyed reading the first two books: Partners in Crime and Sleepover Stakeout. So, I was happy to get my hands on this one when it was released on July 1.

Norah and Darcy have been best friends since fourth grade. Unfortunately, miscommunications happened and their friendship has gone shaky. Framed & Dangerous begins with Norah feeling really sad and bad about the things that she had retorted when she was fighting with Darcy. After sobbing and feeling miserable for the entire weekend, Norah wakes up and walks to school alone. When she reaches school, she’s shocked to find out that the brand-new field house is burning. Although Norah sees Darcy walking around, she is upset because Darcy seems to be deliberately avoiding her. So, when Zane Munro, the boy Norah is crushing on, asks ‘Partners in Crime’ for help with a detective case, Norah is a bit uncertain because she doesn’t know if she can help to resolve the situation without Darcy’s help. But when Zane becomes the prime suspect of the fire incident, Norah knows she has no choice but to seek all the help that she can find, and this means she must convince Darcy to work with her and investigate the case together.

In this story, I really like the way how Norah chooses to approach her weakness in communication skills. Instead of hiding behind her nervousness, she chooses to value her quick-thinking and pay attention to how she can express what she thinks in a clear and sincere manner. Although she cannot control how others interpret what she has said, she takes ownership of what she can do and works on calming her fright so that she can stay focused on communicating what she has to say even at times when she is being confronted. It’s really wonderful to see how Norah evolves as she works past her discomfort in social gatherings and allows her wanting to help people to guide her to become a better communicator.

Darcy is still as witty, perceptive, smart and somewhat snarky as she has always been throughout the series. It’s a joy to watch her wear her detective hat and throw out wonderful ideas as she helps to investigate and work on resolving Zane’s case!

Personally, I find it a little shocking as I learn why the arsonist chooses to do something menacing at the first place. Although the way how this case is being solved is fairly predictable, I wonder what type of upbringing the arsonist must have been through to make it seem okay to act so irresponsibly and irrationally.

This is the last book in the Sleuth or Dare series. Fans of Partners in Crime would surely want to pick this one up to find out more on what’s happening with the other characters, like the popular Fiona, the shy Maya and the not-so-popular Hunter.

If you’re looking for a mystery that is non-horrifying, you’d find Framed & Dangerous fairly non-creepy and heartwarmingly amusing. The Sleuth or Dare series would undoubtedly be a welcoming addition to the bookshelves of those who love middle-grade novels.

I'm reviewing these three books together because they go together. Each book is a continuation of the previous ones, which I like. It makes it seem more realistic. Norah and Darcy are best friends. Despite some differences they complement each other nicely. Norah loves astronomy and shrugs off the title of 'nerd' believing that intelligence is something worth sharing. Darcy loves black and purple and crime shows, she also has great skills on the computer that she sometimes misuses.

In the first book, Partners in Crime, Norah and Darcy form a pretend business for a class assignment. They are surprised when an anonymous someone seeks their detective help in finding a missing person. They decide to help but first they need to find out the identity of the person seeking their aide. Using Darcy's computer skills and Norah's inescapable logic, can they find the mysterious requester or the missing person?

In the second book, Norah and Darcy's friendship is tested when Norah starts spending time with Fiona, the most popular girl in school, and Maya, the quietest girl in school. But the friendship issues take a back seat when Maya comes to them with a problem, mysterious noises are coming out of a baby monitor while she's babysitting. Can they catch the culprit(s) and maintain their friendship?

In the third book, Norah and Darcy's friendship seems to be over, but is it? And what about Zane, Norah's crush, did he really burn down the field house or has he been framed as he claims? Can Darcy and Norah stop fighting long enough to find out?

This is a delightful new mystery series of special appeal to girls. Not only is the writing good but the stories are interesting and believable. They also involve the technological side of things involving computer hacking, smart phones, and baby monitors. Okay, so baby monitors aren't really high tech, but once you've read book two you might think otherwise. This is a great series to recommend to readers who've moved past Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys or who want a more modern type of mystery. I think this series will really speak to young readers, and I really enjoyed it myself

Darcy and Norah, two best friends, have started their own detective agency called Partners In Crime. These two sleuths have solved various crimes helping fellow classmates. But, like any friendship sometimes there are a few challenges that can cause friends to argue and fight. Let's just call it teenage hormones. When Norah is approached by Maya, a fellow classmate, she learns that the fieldhouse is on fire and an investigation ensues. But, will Norah and Darcy be able to put their differences aside to solve this latest caper? When Norah gets a call from Zane, a guy she secretly likes, asking for help, Norah decides to put hope in the mix. Zane is sent an email stating that he would be blamed. Norah makes an effort to solve the mystery without Darcy but it is tough. Norah takes the necessary steps to see Darcy. A temporary patch is set and they begin to investigate the fire only to discover the email was sent by what could be the Prom Killers, a legendary tale of their town. The girls have a pretty scary mystery to unravel before they can save Zane. Harrington has created a wonderful series featuring teenage girls as detectives. Young girls will adore these characters and enjoy following their mysteries depicted in a school setting. The books are a quick fun read with twists and turns. Good clean fun parents and teachers will definitely approve.

Norah and Darcy are back to solve another mystery. This one has a more serious tone to it as there is a person injured in somebody’s arson job.
Because this is for a middle grade audience the clues are quite visible and it isn’t hard to guess the whodunits but I still found Framed & Dangerous to be a really interesting book. Kim Harrington just has a way with mysteries.
I really enjoyed this one, right before the ending it pulled me into the story and I just had to know how things would end. I had guessed at it but I was curious to see how things would be handled.
Overall, there are just so many clues in Framed & Dangerous hinting at so many different things that it was really cool guessing at which ones were right and which were wrong. I really enjoyed the story and I am curious to see if there will be a fourth book in the series.

Continuing from the last story, Framed and Dangerous features an old fire and a new fire, and the girls must put aside their differences to solve the mystery and get Zane out of trouble.

This book is a little more layered than the other stories; along with the present mystery and a seemingly similar mystery from the past, it also deals with miscommunication between friends and even a touch of romance. Many of the characters introduced in past books make an appearance and some play a part in solving the mystery.

Similar to the other books, an observant reader will be able to solve the mystery before the resolution. Fans of mysteries will enjoy.

I like this series. Norah and Darcy are fun. They are so different from each other but they always come through for each other. I like their friends too. I also like that the adults in this series are not just afterthoughts but are really present in the lives of the kids in the story.I am looking forward to more adventures with Partners in Crime.

Absolutely, love the Sleuth or Dare series. Norah and Darcy complement each others strengths and weaknesses as friends and young detectives. In "Framed & Dangerous" I like that the girls were able to put aside their argument that started in "Sleepover Stakeout" and work as a team to help one of their classmates clear his name. The girls are smart and daring. After the mystery has been solved, I like the follow up chapter that focuses on Norah and Darcy's regular life.

What a great way to end the series! I love these girls and now the group has grown an the friends they have made are pretty cool too. I am sad to see that's it over but the good news is I have be books and can just re-read them!

This book is about Norah's crush getting framed for a crime of burning down a building. While all of this is happening the school dance is being planned. At the end they find out who it really is and Zane asks Norah to the school dance and everything is back to normal.

The book Framed and Dangerous is really, really, REALLY, good. I love mysteries. But this is not to scary. Just right. It's a mystery book for kids like us. Whoever wants to read this book, I really think you should. You all will probably like it.

Read some way through before realizing it was #3 of a series, but it read well just the same. We read aloud with a little knot of varied ages. We had such a good time cracking up with a few of the cheesy lines.

Another amazing Sleuth or Dare book! Norah and Darcy are awesome characters, and even better friends. I'm always surprised that the twist at the end of these books are so, well, surprising! I really hope that this series will continue, and look forward to the next book!

Fun, girlie mystery series. Grades 4-7

My favorite of this series.

I spent 2 hours to finish this book. Absolutely simple yet a good storyline.

Excellent middle-school mystery. It seems like this is the last one in the series. I'd be happy to hear that there are more, though!
